Labradorite

The Inuit folks say that Labradorite came down from the frozen fires of the Aurora Borealis, turning a regular stone into something amazing, gleaming with a magical light that separates the real world from hidden realms. It is a Stone of Magic in every sense; shamans, mediums, healers, and people who study the cosmos to gain knowledge and insight prize it. It’s perfect for awakening one’s own sense of the inner spirit, intuition, and psychic powers for self-exploration.

Labradorite is like the superhero of minerals, fiercely protecting your aura and giving your natural energies a boost. It’s like a shield against negativity and bad luck, keeping you safe and sound. Plus, it even lets you delve into different levels of consciousness and have mind-blowing visionary experiences from the past or future. Pretty cool, huh?

Labradorite is a Feldspar mineral that is prized for its remarkable color play, known as labradorescence. The stone is composed of aggregate layers that refract light as iridescent flashes of peacock blue, gold, pale green, or coppery red. It is usually gray-green, dark gray, black, or grayish-white. The dominant blue varies with the light, displaying hues ranging from deepest blue to pale, almost blue-green shades.

Moravian missionaries were the ones who decided to name this beautiful crystal after they found it in Labrador, Canada back in 1770. But you know what? The funny thing is that the Inuit tribes already knew about it and had stories and legends about this crystal. And get this, the Red Paint People of Maine have been using it for more than a thousand years! Can you believe it? And to top it off, in the 18th and 19th centuries, this gem became all the rage in Europe. Everyone just couldn’t get enough of it!

Golden Labradorite, a transparent gold or champagne color, and Spectrolite, an intense variety displaying the entire color spectrum, were discovered in Finland in the 1940s.

Healing Properties & Uses

Wearing or carrying Labradorite allows one’s natural magical abilities to manifest. It improves mental and intuitive abilities such as clairvoyance, telepathy, prophecy, and coincidence control, as well as communication with higher guides and spirits in Akashic records, psychic readings, and past-life recall. It facilitates travel between worlds and allows for a safe and grounded return to the present.

Labradorite, as a workplace stone, brings out the best in people, making work life more pleasant. It promotes courtesy and full attention to the customer while also assisting part-time and temporary employees in becoming fully integrated into a company.

Labradorite balances out the negative aspects of our personalities, the traits and actions that sap our energy and can lead to depression or shame. It aids in the reduction of anti-social, reckless, or impulsive behavior in children, teenagers, and adults who are easily led into trouble by others, as well as in the detoxification of the effects of tobacco, alcohol, and, to a lesser extent, hard drugs.

Labradorite aids in the development of hand sensitivity, making it useful for physiotherapists and others who use touch to heal.
